Original music bands over the years: TIMKO & Co. • The Almighty Buck • Cotton Mouth/Bootmill Flavor
TIMKO & Co.
A mish mash of music, friends, and good times, focussing on Tim’s original tunes of Americana and rock styled music with rootsy modern twists. Tim has been regularly performing in the Boston area since 2012.
The Almighty Buck
1999-2002, New York, NY: Tim Kochanski formed the band, The Almighty Buck, in 1999 with drummer, Jesse Wallace, after the breakup of their high school turned college band, Cotton Mouth/Bootmill Flavor. Writing, and performing in New York City and Brooklyn, the band filled out with percussionist/drummer, Matt Brundrett, bassist Ricardo Ortiz, banjo/rhythm guitarist, Doug Cote and Tim on vocals/guitars. The group recorded a full length length album, “Horse and Rider”, on 2" tape, which showcased the evolving lean towards Americana in Tim's songwriting, a step away from the avante-garde grunge jam band of CMBF.
2002-2005, Waltham, MA: Tim teamed up with former UMass Lowell college side-project drummer, Josh Fleischmann and brought in bassist, Jeff Dudziak, whom he met at a local open mic. The group performed in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville, Lowell, and NYC. They self recorded the 5 song EP, “So Long”, mixed by Joel Plante.
2012-today, Boston, MA: After living in NJ for some years and starting a new family, they moved back to the Boston area where eventually, Tim wrestled his way back into the music scence. Another version of TAB formed as a rocking 4 piece with Jeff Woods on drums, Leah Ladato on bass, and Erik Von Doetsch on guitar. The group has an album's worth of new songs ready to record.
